Pastor Prabin and his wife Susama saw a need to help vulnerable and at-risk children in their community who live with their families but are extremely poor, so they opened the India Hope Center in 2014, which is a children’s day facility attached to the India Children’s Home orphanage.
The India Hope Center provides day care, schooling and after- school care for more than 100 community children. Their community is primarily Hindu and has a history of persecution and violence against Christians, so they are building a strong, positive connection to their community through this program, and demonstrating the love of Christ to them in practical ways.
The children in the day care program receive nutritious meals and educational classes. Many of the children and their families have been affected by the pandemic, and this program ensures the children are well fed and cared for, while at the same time given a supportive environment in which they can learn, play and grow.
